Immerse yourself in radio history in Wireless World on August 18, 1:00-3:00
Our popular National Radio Day exhibit is back, and better than ever! Come to the Sarnoff Collection for a celebration of radio receivers, and take a tour with the Sarnoff curator through radio’s illustrious history. Every single radio in the Sarnoff Collection will be out for viewing, from crystal sets to transistor radios, and everything in between. We will also have a special artifact on display from KDKA, the country’s first radio station. This item has recently been acquired by the collection, and has never before been exhibited at the Sarnoff. After looking at the radios, stop at our hands-on station, where you’ll be able to build (and take home) your very own speaker. You won’t want to miss this!
