Museum Day 2019

Spectacular Sounds at the Sarnoff Collection

Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. This year, Museum Day celebrates the Smithsonian Year of Music, an institution-wide initiative celebrating the Smithsonian’s vast musical collections, and the Sarnoff is joining in on the fun with a variety of sound-related museum events to go with our temporary exhibit, In the Groove: A Century of Sound. The museum, and all exhibits, will be open from 11:00-4:00, with a variety of events happening throughout the day.
